Our Area

Loudoun is known for it’s small country towns and villages, each with its own distinct characteristics. Historic Middleburg, the rolling countryside of Lovettsville, the streetscapes of Leesburg – it’s all part of what makes Loudoun County a must-visit destination for outdoor enthusiastsfoodiesbeer and wine aficionados and history buffs.

About two centuries old, Bluemont village lies at about 1000 feet, on the eastern side of the Blue Ridge, just below Snickers Gap in Western Loudoun County. Bluemont borders Virginia foxhunt country and is within a mile of the Appalachian Trail and the rugged Bears Den and Raven Rocks formations. The village is tucked into the side of the mountain, giving it a protected feeling. Once a resort area and the W&OD Railroad's final destination, Bluemont is now better known for its old-fashioned country fair held each fall. For nearly 40 years, the fair has brought this small village to life and harkens back to earlier times with traditional music, crafts, artists, a farmer's market, down home cooking, and pie baking contests.
